Introduction

Global retail operations face complex workforce management challenges—especially when spanning multiple countries with varying labor rules and sizeable transaction volumes. Migrating from legacy systems to modern cloud solutions is critical to achieving scalability, efficiency, and agility. In this case study, Day7 partnered with a major global retailer operating over 3,400 stores worldwide to transition from UKG Workforce Central (WFC) to UKG Workforce Management Pro (WFM Pro).

Overview

Managing 19,000+ employees across 15+ countries, the retailer required a seamless migration with minimal disruption. The retailer’s existing ecosystem contained over 75 integrations and 40 custom reports distributed regionally and lacking consolidated documentation.

Challenges

Solution

Day7’s consultants collaborated extensively with the retailer’s teams to document and refine localization logic for payroll and personnel processing. The team designed and implemented the new cloud integrations using UKG Dell Boomi, simultaneously redeveloping custom reports in Datahub.

A phased cloud roll-out went live in critical regions: the US, UK, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Day7’s post-launch support was crucial in ensuring stability and rapid resolution of transition issues.

Impact

Conclusion

This successful migration underscores Day7’s expertise in complex workforce system transformations, enabling the retailer to scale confidently and focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences across their global footprint.
